Llandre is a National Trust family run farm in the Dolaucothi valley
in North Carmarthenshire famous for its Roman Goldmines.

Haymaking at Llandre Farm & Holiday cottageThe farm is 280 acres of rolling hills with three peaks reaching 1000ft. Stocking consists of 850 sheep and a thousand lambs born every March in a purpose built sheep shed where the sheep are housed from early January to mid March. During the winter months 70 cattle are housed in the adjoining buildings.

The farm is in an environmental improvement scheme with thousands of metres of hedgerows having been restored in the last few years with wildlife corridors being created. The latest project was to fence out the Cothi River which runs through the farm to increase vegetative regeneration along the river bank with subsequent improvement in wildlife and fish stocks.
