Crud y Barcud is a 5 star luxury self catering cottage,

at our family run 280 acre traditional hill farm.

Nestling at the foot of the Cothi river valley, the cottage is a sympathetic
conversion of a former carthouse.
It has a beautiful hand crafted kitchen, stone walls & exposed beams & it's
own private landscaped garden.
Crud y Barcud translates as "Cradle of the Red Kite". As the title suggests, this is one of the last strongholds of the native Red Kite, and this magnificent bird is often spotted gracing our skyline.
Our
farm & cottage
are part of the National Trust Dolaucothi Estate. We have a close working
relationship with the Trust. Environmental & conservation issues are
always paramount. Many native & rare species of flora & fauna
are to be found on our farm & the surrounding estate.
We
are an open family run farm & we welcome inquisitive visitors
who want to see & experience a true welsh working farm. March
is a popular month, as guests like to experience lambing close up
in our lambing sheds. Llandre has hosted many open days, with a big
shearing match in July being a
highlight.
